Some information and Documents regarding the Waycross Bypass

Just screenshots or other interesting information I have come across

12/3/25 Image Below: Unverified facebook post from September 2024 that a meeting was held between the respective parties mentioned below. This post suggests that this has been in the works, and behind the scenes long before the first “Tri-county” meeting. I cannot confirm or deny the accuracy of this post, however this timeline closely matches Commissioner Jon Tindall’s interview with First Coast News on 12/2/25 where he stated this project has been in the works for over a year. It’s noted the first official “Tri-County Meeting” to discuss the bypass between the 3 Commissions was on 10/1/2025, and the second was on 12/1/2025.

12/3/25 Image Below: Property owned by a single family, who has a road building business, an asphalt production facility, and is at least related to an elected official in Waycross. No conflicts of interest found here! I wonder if this elected official will be able to get some of the land re-zoned to commercial or industrial use once the bypass is complete? Would that significantly increase the value of this land? Maybe the family business will be awarded some contracts, or sub-contracts to provide asphalt, services, or dirt for this massive bypass project? great questions to ask your local governments!

12/3/25: Image Below- A self-proclaimed family member speaking out about a Ware County elected official. I cannot confirm or deny this story, or the relationship from this individual, so I can’t confirm this is factual. But, freedom of speech. Someone said it online, I’m just sharing what they stated.

12-2-25: Image Below- Pierce County Commissioners vote to approval the resolution to hold further discussions. Commissioner Dave Lowman made a motion, Commissioner Troy Mattox made a second. This helped set the stage for the December 1 tri-county meeting.

12/3/2025: Image Below- newspaper article shared with me. I have tried to find the final outcome of this. If anyone knows, please share it with me. I’ve been told it has continued to be delayed and they are trying to “sweep it under the rug.” I would LOVE to know the full story, and have the facts of the case in black and white to share.
